FOODS HIGH IN CALCIUM

Some of you are following a plant-based diet to keep the disease away and want to make sure you get enough calcium in your diet so your bones and teeth stay strong. This is an example of some of the questions asked during the TNBC Nutrition Program. DM for more questions about it. 

Now, it’s well known that dairy foods get all the credit for providing calcium in the diet…. so here are a few ideas of non-dairy foods to include on your grocery list to help up your calcium intake. 


FOODS HIGH IN MAGNESIUM

Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body and is essential for bone health, nerve and normal muscle function.
Cancer treatment can cause your magnesium levels to become low. If your healthcare provider tells you to increase your magnesium intake, here are a few foods you can easily include in your diet to boost your magnesium levels.

Another trick that worked wonders for me was to add sparkling water to any of these mixes for an uplifting feeling.

It’s normal to have food cravings during your cancer treatment and thankfully there are some easy swaps that can be made to ease the guilt of eating „fast food“ or „high sugar“ foods.
